Q: What is ZERONA? Low Level Laser body slimming and how does it work?
A: ZERONA is a new non-invasive treatment that utilizes a low intensity laser. This low level laser is “cold” and has no thermal effect on tissue.
Typically a patient will undergo 6 treatment applications over the trunk, hips, and thighs at intervals given over a 2 week period. The low level laser passes through the skin to stimulate fat cells in a unique manner. The laser breaks down the fat cell membrane in the areas being treated, stimulating the body to rid itself of the excess fat. Excess fat is then removed by the body’s lymphatic system and subsequently expelled without the potential side effects and downtime associated with more invasive procedures such as liposuction.
ZERONA is a low level laser. There is no discomfort during or after each treatment. Results average between 3-6 total inches lost after one Treatment series (2 weeks), but can be as much as 9 inches in some patients. ZERONA offers patients an alternative to invasive body slimming alternatives. There is no bruising, pain or downtime with this Laser treatment.
